Dell Launches Venue 10 7000 Tablet
New York: Tech giant Dell has introduced its latest Venue 10 7000 tablet that boasts of a slimmer profile with the newest Android 5.0 Lollipop operating system.
The Venue 10 7000 is 6.2mm thick and sports a 10.5-inch OLED 2560×1600 screen, a 2.3Ghz quad-core Intel Atom Z3580 processor and comes in two storage capacities- 16GB and 32GB. It includes 2GB RAM. It also includes a micro USB port, headphone jack, and a MicroSD slot that can expand the storage up to 512GB.
The tablet includes a special barrel edge hinge – a metal cylinder that functions both as a stand for the device and houses the front stereo speakers. It comes with a big 7000mAh battery that is claimed to last for 15 hours with the backlit keyboard attached. Dell has included the Intel RealSense camera technology in the 8 megapixel rear camera of the tablet.
The Dell Venue 10 7000 will be enabled for Android for Work, Google’s latest platform that makes business and personal information securely coexist in a single device.
The Venue 10 7000 has been priced at $499. A model with keyboard costs $629. The device will start be available in May this year.
